With the Hands Of Your Heart

Phase II

Phase II of the Visual Movement “With The Hands of Your Heart” features the soul captivating work of movement II’s members, mainly broadcasting our solo artists not featured in the phase I zine.

Mecca is a mixed media art piece that was created to infuse black identity with the
understanding of technology, and the fastly growing technological advances our society has.
From that, throughout the piece, I try to convey the feeling of the unknowing through this
transitional period and present this view of hope by showing the idea of this advanced heaven
that we all are searching for. Yet with this heaven that is being present, I wanted to showcase
the idea of being on the way to being a part of this society, but not necessarily knowing if this
safe technological place is good for you.
