Why do you make art?
Art is the language my soul comfortably speaks, allowing me to express a dance of emotions and thoughts. In the quiet moments of creation, I converse vibrant echoes of my spirit. I believe that art, through its diverse mediums, serves as mirrors reflecting the kaleidoscope of my inner world.
About
Kai Cook
Kai Cook is a third-year student at Spelman College studying the written and cinematic arts. With a deep reverence for both storytelling and the cultural heritage of the African diaspora, she works to craft visually and thematically rich works that challenge and captivate people to explore the intersections of imagination and reality through reflecting on subjects like Black culture, Horror, and Personification. She seeks to foster an inclusive environment where voices from all walks can unapologetically share their experiences and stories.
