Why do you make art?
Specifically why I’m in architecture is because being a black woman in design is revolutionary. There are just over 500 licensed black women in architecture EVER in the United States, or .06%. Our voices are so special and rare as architects and our designs are valuable. To me, making art is not just a form of expression. It’s a revolutionary act that is changing the architecture industry from the inside.
